RCS Cards offers credit to a niche market of over 300.000 customers via approximately 5.000 participating merchant outlets nationwide.

RCS partners with merchants in various industries, by offering their customers credit.  This enables the merchants to outsource their credit function.  Customers are issued an RCS Card, which is accepted at these participating merchants.

Q:
Can my husband/wife purchase on my account?
A:
Only the account holder may purchase on the RCS account. Should your spouse wish to purchase, you as the cardholder will need to accompany him/her. Letters of permission are also not allowed.
   
Q:
How do I increase my credit limit?
A:
RCS accounts are considered for credit increases regularly based on your payment behaviour and credit record. Increases will be done automatically, if you have consented to this.
 
Q:
What does it cost to use a RCS card?
A:
Monthly Transaction Fee: A monthly transaction fee of R2.90 will be charged to your account. No additional hidden fees or charges once the account is opened. Interest is payable for purchases on 12 and 24 months budget plan. The 35% per annum interest rate is less than 3% per month. Interest is only charged for the duration of the outstanding balance. Should you wish to settle the account early, no penalties are incurred.
   
Q:
What is my Internet pin number/password?
A:
Clients may view their account information via the Internet after registering on-line and receiving a pin number. The pin number is confidential and must be utilised every time you wish to access your account information electronically.
 
Q:
What other benefits do I get from using the RCS card?
A:
Free Account Insurance: By simply using the card, you can enjoy the free added benefit of the comprehensive Account Insurance. This provides protection against the fraudulent use of your card should you lose it, which means that you will not be charged for any amount spent on your card after you have reported it missing.

Account Insurance also provides cover in the event of death as below:
R2.000 will be paid to your estate*
Up to R2.000 of the outstanding balance on your account will be settled*
If you are under 40, these benefits will be paid in the event of your accidental death. If you are over 40 these benefits will be paid irrespective of your cause of death.
